On the main menu the 'circle' icon flicks back and forth between the mouse cursor and the circle when I move it with the controller. I have to push 2-3 buttons to get any sort of confirmation on any of the menus I select. If I actually try to play the game, I just stutter step the in game. So, basically, the game is unplayable with a controller

Ubisoft has confirmed that a new title update (1.6.0) will be released for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This title update will add support for 60 FPS on the PS5 and Xbox Series. Try playing it at 1080p or 2k. 4K is very taxing to the system, and in 2k or 1080p you will have a more stable experience. I've finished the game in PS4 Slim and now I'm finishing in my PC and playing 1080p 60fps is rather beautiful experience in Odyssey but in the cities frames tend to drop. In addition to 60fps support for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the update adds a new "Assassin's Creed Franchise Store Menu" that presumably takes you to the store pages for other games. If you're looking to play Assassin's Creed Mirage at 1080p and at 60fps, the requirements don't jump up too drastically here.
