Ihave a Acer Aspire 3 - A315-31-POYK. The factory fitted SSD drive has failed so I bought a V-NAND SSD 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2. I am trying to do a clean install of windows 10 from a usb drive but this new SSD drive is not showing up. Is this new SSD drive compatible with this laptop. Notmy best work! But the 2.5 inch SSD was installed nicely. With the silver laptop, I recommend being gently with the plastic prying tools as any damage is
Toobad since the A315-41-R540 have M2 SSD Slot has 1 teeth just like for MVME SSD but it can't recognize NVME SSD.. Yes, the slots look same for both but the difference is made in the chipset. Hi.. I have Acer Aspire 3 A315-41-R540 (BIOS ver 1.18 latest) that originally comes with M2 2280 Sata III 128 GB Sandisk SSD and 1 TB HDD.

Yournew Kingston A2000 M.2 SSD will only work at 50% of its performance capabilities as your Aspire A314-22 drive is designed for a max PCIe Gen3 x2 Lane type M.2 and your new Kingston A2000 M.2 SSD is an NVMe PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4 Lanes M.2 . Btw, below are the Acer specs and recommended PCIe Gen3 x2 Lane M.2 SSD’s fitted to your Aspire

Ihave an Acer Aspire 5, intel i5, SSD hard drive, Windows 11. I tried to re-install Windows 11, but at some point when the installer tried to locate a drive to install, the installer cannot find any drive to install. Any solutions? Thanks [Edited the thread to add model name to the title and add issue detail]
Thisis what you have as the NVMe 3.0 x2 – budget high-speed SSDs running on the PCI-E 3.0 bus. A single PCI-E 3.0 lane has a theoretical throughput of 8 GT / s (Giga transactions per second), which equals 985 MB / s. The x2 marking implies two lines, that is, the speed is up to 1970 MB / s.
